POWER-LESS

Big bad man, where can you be?
I’m locked inside. It snowed, you see.
I’ve no machine to stop the snow,
So, when it falls, inside I go.

Inside? You mean you run away?
From little flakes, you ran, today?
Oh, yes, I’m strong, all winter long
Until the chill turns into snow.

Then, with a flash, I dive inside.
Imagine how it hurts my pride.
The Stock Exchange can’t see me, now.
Dow Jones would think I am a cow.

But what about the little men
You push all year? What of them?
Shhhhh, don’t you say I ran away
To those I bullied, yesterday.

My big machines and mighty dollar
Make little men jump and holler.
Well, can’t your Diner’s Club card
Stop the sky from snowing hard?

It can’t, you see, because snow is free
And credit cards won’t do the job.
A gun, I’m sure, would stop the stuff
Plug up the sky. Point, shoot and puff.

I tried a gun. Just made it rain
And, then, last year, it snowed, again.
You’ve one more chance to kill that snow.
Use propaganda. That’ll make it go!

Yeah, maybe that would do something.
With no more snow, I could still be king.
Big bad man, I pulled your leg.
You can’t stop snow with words that beg.

I must admit, it is a blow.
Ha! Even you can’t stop the snow.
You’re beat, big man, by tiny flakes
They stop your show with no breaks,
The same way you do little men
With big machines and your money, friend.
Big bad man, snow is just for you
So, you could feel empty-handed, too.

Sam’s Club CEO Under Fire From White Men For Insisting on Diversity

Rosalind Brewster, President & CEO of Sam’s Club since 2012

America is a corporation based on free enterprise, meaning that anyone, white, black, brown, yellow, or red can start their own business. Blaming others for your failure is nonsensical. Each of us, every human being on Earth has a gift that is uniquely theirs.

It costs less than $100 to incorporate a business in any state in the United States. I’m not sure what it costs in other countries. But the corporate tax per year is $150 before May 1 in the U.S. So for $100 plus $150 per year, you’re in business. Your target market can be anyone or just the people in your particular group. Advertisement is the key to doing business – letting people know you offer a product or service.

The problem is that people do not educate themselves on entrepreneurship. They are lazy and would rather get a J-O-B working to make somebody else (usually white men in business) RICH! The moment you take a job, you have placed a value on your time.

  • If you are not getting paid what you think you are worth, who’s fault is that?
  • If you don’t get the necessary degrees to increase your worth, who’s fault is that?

Stop blaming somebody else for your own shortcomings. Evidently Rosalind Brewster did the work to make herself valuable to Sam’s Club. She’s right about the importance of diversity. But how many women and people of color have done the work she has to be in the position she is in?

Either get an education or start your own business or do both. That is the solution in my opinion.

Computer Fraud

I’ve come to the end of the road with computer fraud. Scamming companies that send you an email with a link to how you can win a FREE LAPTOP by opting into other programs. At first, I was told to choose 2 offers. I picked Netflix and government grants. Then, I was told I needed to pick 9 more. That’s when I knew it was a scam. I got one netflix movie, watched it, cancelled the account and sent the movie back.

On top of never getting a laptop, I’ve received over 400 spammed emails, since the day I clicked that link!

Today, I’m fighting back! I found this site – www.ripoffreport.com and filed this report against Far End Services, Inc. and at  www.econsumer.gov – reference #24835476.

I click a link in an email for a FREE DELL LAPTOP and of course, got a hundred offers that I had to choose 2 from. I chose the NETFLIX 2-week trial and Government Grants. I cancelled both of them the following week. Then, I got two charges on my credit card for $24.13 for SUP*POWERPLATFORM 866-3519646 and $79.17 for SUP*GROWTHTOOLS 866-4514292.

I could not dispute these charges until they were actually debited from my account. Then, when I called the numbers, I was told that these were customer service centers and these two accounts had been cancelled but my money would not be refunded because I should have read the small print stating that these charges would be made to my account.

This is an outrage that companies are allowed to do business like this. I am willing to participate in any suits or class action suits against these companies.

As a consumer, I should know better. But, like thousands of others, I didn’t and now, I’m out of $103.30.

These companies should be brought to justice for knowingly ripping off American consumers.
